Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Photographer Finder, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

Description of Service

Photographer Finder is a marketplace platform that connects clients with professional photographers. We provide:

  • A directory of photographer profiles
  • Search and discovery tools for clients
  • Direct communication channels (email/phone) between clients and photographers
  • Optional subscription plans for photographers to maintain active profiles

Photographer Finder is a platform only. We do not provide photography services, we do not handle bookings, and we do not process payments between clients and photographers. All agreements, bookings, and payments happen directly between you and the photographer outside of our platform.

User Accounts

For Photographers

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your profile. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information, including your portfolio, service areas, and availability. You agree not to misrepresent your services, experience, or qualifications.

For Clients

You may browse photographer profiles without creating an account. If you choose to contact a photographer, you agree to communicate respectfully and in good faith.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal behavior.

Subscription & Billing

Photographers can maintain active profiles through a subscription model:

  • Free tier: Your first 100 profile impressions are completely free
  • Paid tiers: After the free tier, you can subscribe to keep your profile active
  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time
  • Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable, but you can cancel to avoid future charges

Important: Photographer Finder never takes a commission on your bookings. You keep 100% of what you earn from clients. We only charge the optional monthly subscription fee to keep your profile visible.

User Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload (photos, descriptions, etc.). By uploading content, you grant Photographer Finder a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your content on our platform.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You must have the right to use and share all content you post. You agree not to upload:

  • Copyrighted material you don't own
  • Inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
  • Content that infringes on others' privacy or rights
  • Misleading or fraudulent content

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, or download user data
  • Interfere with the platform's functionality or security
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others
  • Spam or send unsolicited messages
  • Use automated systems to access the platform without permission

Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

Photographer Finder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We explicitly disclaim all liability for:

  • The quality, safety, timeliness, or legality of services provided by photographers
  • The accuracy of photographer profiles, portfolios, or claims
  • Disputes between photographers and clients regarding bookings, services, or payments
  • Any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from photographer services
  • Lost profits, data, business opportunities, or any consequential damages
  • Actions, omissions, fraud, or misconduct by photographers or clients
  • Payment disputes, non-payment, or financial losses
  • Cancellations, no-shows, or breach of contract by either party
  • Copyright infringement or misuse of photos/content
  • Any issues arising from direct communication between photographers and clients

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the lesser of: (a) the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the last 12 months, or (b) $100 USD.

Disputes & Resolution

Photographers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Photographer Finder. Any disputes regarding bookings, services, payments, contracts, or service quality must be resolved directly between the photographer and client. Photographer Finder is not a party to these agreements and has no obligation or ability to resolve booking disputes, mediate conflicts, or enforce agreements.

For disputes related to the Photographer Finder platform itself (account access, subscription billing, profile issues, etc.), please contact us at support@photofinder.com. We'll work with you to resolve platform-related issues only.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We'll notify active users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
